"One who walks in integrity will be safe . . . the faithful will abound in blessing." Solomon's advice continues as we conclude Proverbs 28. We all have choices in life as to how we will live, but those choices will have consequences. We are reminded to keep our faith in God and to put God's will for our lives above our own.

One who walks in integrity will be safe, but whoever follows crooked ways will fall into the Pit. The faithful will abound with blessings, but one who is in a hurry to be rich will not go unpunished. The greedy person stirs up strife, but whoever trusts in the Lord will be enriched. Those who trust in their own wits are fools; but those who walk in wisdom come through safely. Whoever gives to the poor will lack nothing, but one who turns a blind eye will get many a curse. When the wicked prevail, people go into hiding; but when they perish, the righteous increase.  (Prov. 28:14-28)

Meditation: "Walk in wisdom...." It's helpful, for me at least, to remember that wisdom is no something we acquire over night. It takes time and practice. Albert Einstein said, "Wisdom is not a product of schooling, but of the lifelong attempt to acquire it." So, if you feel like Solomon's words are out of your reach, think about how you can slowly begin to incorporate some of the words we've read since beginning the Book of Proverbs into your own life. And, give yourself some grace, understanding the way of wisdom is the way of life.
