Yesterday's worship service reminded us of three truths:

1. God created each one of us to be who we are and loves us as we are. This doesn't mean we are meant to remain stagnant and not live to become more like Christ, but it means that from our birth God looked at us, declared us good, and loved us - and that love will never stop.

2. Even when we mess up, and no matter how badly we mess up or how often, God's grace and forgiveness are always there for us. We might wander away from God, even run away from God, but God welcomes us back each and every time. That is the depth of God's love for us.

3. God created us to be a family. We are people who need people. God's plan for us, including our family members in Christ, are there to help us, encourage us, pray for us, lift us up when needed - and we are to do the same for others.
In Funny Girl, Fanny Brice sings that other people help her when she hungers or thirsts, and that other people take her half and make her whole. We find that promise not in people but in Jesus Christ. In John 6:35, Jesus says: "Whoever comes to me will never be hungry and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty." In John 10:10, he says: "I have come that you might have life and have it abundantly." All who have experienced the true love of God through Christ are the luckiest people in the world.

I pray that you know the love God has for you. Have a blessed day!
