Today's psalm is the shortest psalm in the Bible, so I am including every word. It is a universal call to worship. What is a call to worship? We begin our church service with one, but why? Simply, a call to worship reminds us why we have gathered to worship; it is meant to affirm why we are present and to prepare our hearts and minds to worship God. It is a time of transition between coming into the sanctuary from places where we worry about other matters and being in the sanctuary where God is present with us.

Praise the Lord, all you nations! Extol him, all you peoples! For great is his steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever! Praise the Lord!  (Ps. 117)

Sit back, reflect on why you praise God, and enjoy this simple song giving praise to God. Amen!
