Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness;
    come into his presence with singing.
Know that the Lord is God.
    It is he that made us, and we are his;
    we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
    and his courts with praise.
    Give thanks to him, bless his name.
For the Lord is good;
    his steadfast love endures forever,
    and his faithfulness to all generations.
(Ps. 100).

Can you hear the song in this psalm? I've read that it was the inspiration for song we called the Doxology (Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow). Our "Sing a New Song" in church (where every 3-4 weeks we learn a new song) is "He Has Made Me Glad." The song says, "I will enter his gates with thanksgiving in my heart, I will enter his courts with praise. I will say this is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice for he has made me glad." Did you catch the words from Ps. 100?

This morning I invite you into a space of thanksgiving and praise. There will be time today for stress and frustration, but as you read these words, where do you see God's love and faithfulness in your life?   This is the day the Lord has made. Rejoice and be glad!
